Enrolling at Athol Road Primary School

Athol Road Primary School is committed to the DET Placement Policy. Students residing in the school zone are prioritised and guaranteed a place at our school. Parents of prospective students are strongly urged to visit the Find My School website to determine their eligibility.

Foundation Enrolment 2025

Enrolments for Foundation 2025 are due Friday 26th July, 2024.

All enrolments for Foundation 2025 must be submitted digitally via the VicStudents Portal. Click [here] for more information on how to enrol.

What you need to do:

  • Visit the Find My School website [here] to confirm enrolment eligibility.
  • Ensure you have the following documentation;
    • Proof of birth (birth certificate if born in Australia, passport if born overseas)
    • Up to date immunisation statement
    • Proof of address
    • Proof of residency (if applicable)
    • VISA documentation (if applicable)
  • Visit the VicStudents Portal [here] to complete your digital enrolment application for Athol Road Primary School by Friday 26th July 2024.
  • You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 29th July and Friday 9th August 2024.
  • If your enrolment application is successful, you need to accept your place via the VicStudents Portal by Friday 23rd August 2024.

Year 1-6 Student Enrolments for 2025

If you are wishing to enrol your child at Athol Road Primary School and they are not in Foundation, please contact the office either in person or via email at athol.road.ps@education.vic.gov.au

Athol Road Primary School provides the opportunity for pre-schoolers to participate in our transition

Kindergarten to Foundation Transition:

The first years of school are an exciting and engaging time for your child. Building positive relationships and experiences in the early years is important to long-term development, learning and wellbeing. Transition to school is an important, welcoming element of your child starting school.

The school runs a thorough Transition Program during Term 3 and 4. 

Our school zone

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones.

Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

The Department provides guidance through the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.
