On Tuesday, 15th October, Taskworks incursions visited ARPS and worked with the Year 1/2 students to teach them about forces. This incursion linked to the students’ science topic, ‘Push and Pull’. The hands-on activities gave the students the opportunity to experiment with how different forces work together to move objects. Students learnt how the amount of force applied to an object will have different results and began to explore the concept of gravity and friction. Students worked together to complete some of the tasks and teachers were impressed by the teamwork skills that groups demonstrated to finish quickly. Dean, one of the year 2 students, stated: “I enjoyed learning about how gravity pulls you back to the ground on the big drop machine”.
