The ARPS community had a great day celebrating the Melbourne Cup on Monday November 4th. As part of the annual tradition students, parents and teachers strutted their stuff down the catwalk for the ‘Fashion on the Field’ competition. Prizes were awarded for students at each year level, best dressed parents, preschoolers and staff. It was great to see many hats, fascinators and costumes were made at home with recycled materials.
A big thank you to the families who provided a plate of food to share for the morning tea.
Special learning activities occurred in students learning spaces from 11:30 – 12:30pm with students engaged in creative learning activities, many of which required team work and problem solving skills.
Unfortunately the planned afternoon Tabloid Sports had to be cancelled due to wet weather however this does give teachers and parents another 12 months of training to become the ARPS Cup Day Champions in 2020!
